Papel ni Hapon (Paper of Asao) narrates about the life of Asao Shimura, a wandering artist, bookmaker, and papermaker from Japan. He traveled across Japan to learn and share his passion in traditional papermaking. Until he came to the Philippines and decided to build his handmade paper dreams in tranquil mountain of Sitio Poking in Benguet. For 30 years, he has been living half of his life in the Philippines. At the age of 73, he continues to explore his creativity and nature through Philippine plant fibers and Japanese papermaking while embracing the Ibaloi (Ethnic Group) culture.
